I have quit many times in the past with no luck, but now I am on my way I have found this site and I love it.. I can do it... I think. Can anyone give me any advise on how to keep the metabolism up through this? It is day 2 and I can already feel my self wanting food all the time!!! :confuse:
Thanks everyone for your pointers. I am having a pretty hard day today, my 6 year old son has had a few blow ups at the day care the last few weeks and I am totally stressing about it because they are on their last chance deal with him. I have gotten him in to talk to someone in September but right now I am fighting big time to not light up. Why does everything seem to happen all at once?

Thanks Janna! I needed someone to tell me "Don't smoke". I think all of my co-workers are afraid on me today, they see it on my face I think. None of them smoke and so far today none of them have spoken to me. I have written my pledge on my whiteboard behind me on my wall, so whenever someone walks in I get a "Good for you!" I think those comments are keeping me going!

You can't keep saying "Just hope I make it this time", you have to say I am going to make it this time. Think about why you are doing it, think about your wife and 2 beautiful children who don't want to see you fail. They want you to make it and you have to say you will make it and you will do it, I know you can do it!

Ok I will be the first newbie to go to the treehouse! Besides I hate to miss a good party. I can't believe the thousands of cigarettes all you guys have not smoked, count them up, it is amazing when you realize. I can't wait until my number hits the thousand, I am going to reward myself with a day at the spa! What have you guys all done to reward yourselves lately?

Thanks everyone for the encouragement and advise. This really helps and I even stood beside someone smoking lastnight and I didn't even want one. Going into day #5 here and I am pumped, I will never touch those dirty little sticks again, yuck!
