this is for all you long term quiters. how long does it take to feel like a nonsmoker, or should i say, how long does it take to forget about smoking? is everyone different or is there a certain timeframe?
well today is day five and what a change from yesterday! i feel great! as for tommorow who knows maybe more tears. i will love every good day that comes my way. after smoking for 22 years im lucky im not pulling an oxygen tank. cold turkey works for me. no pain no gain ;) isnt it great to no longer stink! thanks for all your input, i really appreciate it.
hi changing and welcome. i dong know about the drugs affects, but i can tell you that my first few days i was really, really tired and sleepy too. i think its a withdrawl and enjoy it because you are cleaning your system. i dont know about anyone else here but after 3 days i then started sleeping less and woke up early feeling wide awake. never been like that before and i like it. anyway glad you are here and keep us posted.

hi cali
congrats on your decision! im a few years older than you and started smoking at 15, probably the same for you. i have tried and failed a few times and have learned what i was doing wrong. i kept dwelling on the fact that i wanted to smoke so bad. i should have had a positive attitude and focused on the good, not the bad. im feeling much better now than all the other times i tried to quit and i know %100 i wont smoke again. its all about your attitude.
patience
pass up the good for the great
welcome and keep us posted
