Benefits of quitting

Quitting has changed my life ! My family and friends are so happy for me ! I have energy and not coughing up blobs of tar. I have joined the gym and am walking at least 1 or more miles a day. I have saved enough money to go on a nice vacation !

Benefits of quitting

My friend smoked 4 cigars a day and tried the patch and gum and finally the electronic cigarette and now just puffs non nicotine vapor ( does not inhale ) he say he gets the smoking sensation without the harmful effects - and doesn't stink up his house.

Myth of Fact?

I found walking to be very helpful and the first week I chewed a lot of gum. I still crave a cigarette every so often but it fades away. I feel so much better seeing someone butting out their cig and knowing that those 400 harmful chemicals were not in my lungs !

What should i expect from my body after I quit smoking?

The first week was difficult - anxiety, short temper, sleep problems etc. After the nicotine withdrawal I found joining the gym and making new fiends there and walking long walks with my dog really helped.

Daily Successes

I totally agree you have to change your lifestyle for the better . I personally went out of my way to do more physical actvity I walk and swim more and even cut the neighbors lawn for them and take friends dogs for walks. I have saved so much money and am cough free - now when I see someone smoking it looks ridiculous !

How to wrap my head around quitting

I had the same experience I tried the patch, gum and tablets. T he only thing that worked was the e-cig which I used the nicotine juice but within a week it was just flavored - then I quit that too. I thought the transition was easier !

Finally Quite and Hope to Stay That Way

  Good for you !
It's been a hard battle for me and it was not easy. I found my family was so happy for me, I felt so much better and made new non smoking friends by joining the health club. Nothing but good - and I've saved so much money and don't stink ! Keep it up and be strong !

The e- cig worked for me too within a couple of weeks I was just smoking the non nicotine juice and the gave that up too - get out and walk a lot - it really helped me in the first quitting period.
