Hi Hepsie,

As you probably know, alcohol is very damaging to many organ systems in the body including the cardiovascular system, liver and brain.
Symptoms of brain disorders caused by alcoholism range from mental confusion and memory lapses to difficulty with muscle coordination and nerve paralysis.  There is ongoing research on alcohol's effect on the brain and the possibility of reversing these damaging effects.

What about the adult brain?  What gets damaged?  And is all damage irreversible, or is some healing possible?
