Hi BlueRayne508,

A lowered mood is common while quitting smoking. First remember it is temporary. Exercise, being outdoors, socializing, planning pleasant activities and eating healthy all can help.

It has been a few days since you posted last. How are you feeling today?

Hello everyone,
This is my first time posting, I've tried to quit many times in the past, but somehow always start up again. I have depression and I feel like smoking sort of keeps my feelings numb in some sort of way. Whenever I try to quit, I go through a period of feeling very down and I also get very irritable at the people closest to me. I usually end up feeling out of it so I just give in and have a smoke. Which of course leads to another. Has anyone else here dealt with these type of feelings, and if so, how did you cope with them while quitting? I threw my pack out today, I'm just so sick of the whole thing. I already gave up drinking so I see smoking as the last destructive vice I want to rid myself of.
Thanks for any feedback!
