thanks for the responses...it helps to know other people get it...my husband never smoked & although he's been supportive, he just doesn't understand the magnitude of this for me personally...this is the fight of my life...be proud of yourself-over 2 months right?

I'm new to this site...just looking for a little more reinforcement in my journey into a smoke free life...today is my 27th day being smoke free...I quit on 5/14-mother's day..symbolic to me...what better thing to give my kids than to have their mom be around for them...getting easier at times...still want one though..guess I always will...horrible the hold cigarettes have on people...including myself...one day at a time

I am 28 days smoke free. I think about the 'subject'. I do not think about wanting a cigarette anymore. If my mind even tries to go there. I visualize me giving nicotine demon a butt kickin'. Then I celebrate for whoppin' his a$$. heh! Congrats on your quit. You are doing great. You came to a great site for support. There are a lot of wonderful people here. Hello baby, Welcome to our quit group. You have made it threw the 3 hardest weeks. It gets easier each day from here. What a great gift to give your kids. I am a mom of one also. It makes me so happy that she will never remember her mom as a smoker. Welcome. You are among friends. But remember: You don't smoke. Period. 27 days ago you did. But you do not now. Every once in awhile, you may have a memory of a time when you did smoke. A memory is not a craving. Having a memory does not mean you have to act on it. Remember it, quickly, and forget it. You have the power to change your mind. You don't smoke. Simple as that.
