That is sooo true Kelly,   can you keep some string cheese or protein around?   Getting overtired and Hungry really throw me for a loop...   you can not always sit down and get a cat nap when you need one.  The boost from sugar only lasts a short time... so sometimes some protein can keep you together...

have a great weekend

I am better today, thanks for asking.  Sometimes I think I get to tired and don't eat right and that contributes to the problem, not the whole problem, but part of it...

Patrick and Jan,

Thanks so much for responding.  I too have that problem with motivation and have really been trying to push myself to do things.  It seems like such work, but I agree, time does heal.  Its the amount of time it is taking that is starting to bug me.  I do need to realize my small accomplishments and take them for what they are, accomplishments.  Some days  I feel so terrific that I tell myself why didn't you quit a long time ago, then a day like today...I know it will pass, but in the moment it feels like it won't.  Thanks to you two, I have been able to redirect my energy.  I think today is a day that I need to cry when I get home for awhile, sometimes that really helps me.  I too thank the Lord everytime he pulls me up, if it wasn't for him, I would be in the land of no where I think.

Kelly

Kelly,
I'm glad you posted.  Don't feel bad about your meds.  If you need them, take them.  I do.
Quitting smoking has always been a huge undertaking for me.  Everyday I fight for that happy face.  I don't physically crave nicotine, but something is missing.  I'm learning to be resourceful and I thank the dear Lord if I have a day where everything comes easily to me.
Right now my biggest worry or stressor if you will, is my lack of motivation.  I do what I must, but its a fight.  I'm hoping it comes back soon.  I'm sure it just takes time.
Time is the best of healers.

Thinking of you,

Jan

Kelly,
You're being strong and resourceful during these swoops into the black by coming in here and telling us about how you're feeling... Be grateful for the meds; fifty years ago I wish my mother had had anti-anxiety and depression medication that we have today. You're doing extremely well with your battle on those fronts and on the no-smoking front also! That's such a lot to deal with, Kelly!

Give yourself a break here! Go to a spa day once in a while (think how much money we used to spend on smokes?!) and get loose... you deserve it!

Patrick

Anxioux,

Keep hanging in. It's quite common to have ups & downs. You'll see as time goes on, those downs don't rear their ugly heads as often.

You're doing a good job taking care of yourself. Keep it up!
