I MADE IT THROUGH HELL WEEK!!!!

16 years ago 0 706 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I also thought that I wanted to be out with my smoking friends when I first quit. But once they came back in smelling so bad I knew that I didn't really want to be out there... then to listen to them cough and hack.. nope, not where I want to be. Hi Tiffany, Jim is right!!! You made it through Hell week and you don't want to join your co-workers for their outside smokes, you want to stay smoke free and be an example to your co-workers that they can quit too!!!! You're doing great Tiffany, hang in there with us!!!! Hey Tiffany!!! You really don't want to be out there with them!!! You wouldn't be here if you did AND you wouldn't be 9 days SMOKE FREE!!! You have an excellent start to being a stink-free, clean-lunged, fresh-breathed NON SMOKER!!! Celebrate every day as a non smoker and try not to pity the smokers out there too much!!! ;p Jim My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,100 Amount Saved: $181.50 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 5 Mins: 54 Seconds: 0

Hardest part has to be when my friends at work go out to smoke. I wanna go out with them so bad!! When they come and sit back down at the table the stench is revolting and the light comes on in your head (you smell like a daisy and they smell like #2) Well done - every minute it is getting easier!!!!TextText My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/15/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 1130 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 33,900 Amount Saved: 6,780.00 Life Gained: Days: 109 Hrs: 23 Mins: 47 Seconds: 1

Way to Go Tiffany... and Denise is sooo right. at first you want to join them... Today we walked past a smoking area... YUCK.. I felt sorry for them... and man had a portable oxygen tank on his belt.. and was still smoking. You will get some craves.. I do, but them when I see someone standing out smoking, or even get a whiff... YUCK.. It gets easier, just hang onto this quit, reward yourself, remind yourself.. it gets easier.. just dont give in... It's true in the beginning we keep watching them and wanting to join them, but I'm gonna let you in on a little secret: they are watching YOU to see what you're gonna do, and believe it or not, YOU will inspire some of THEM to quit, not the other (gasp) way around. And now, I watch them go out at work and I not only don't want to go out with them but I'm GLAD I'm not with them. It truly does not affect me any more. Except when they come in...peeUuuuuu!
