You neither posted the length of time you have been smoking or the number of cigarettes you smoked per day ??? I assume that you have in fact been smoking for more than 7 days.Might I suggest therefore be a little patient with the quitting process and with yourself it won't happen overnite as your addiction to nicotine did. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 232 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,176 Amount Saved: $2,320.00 Life Gained: Days: 52 Hrs: 23 Mins: 28 Seconds: 6

Hi Jacqui Good going!!!! On day 6!!! I always think that when there's a particular craving that keeps happening it helps to look at what it's about. Is it a time thing, like first thing in the morning, when you get in the car? or marking a transition, like after work, after a meal, before going to bed? Or to congratulate yourself, like finishing a project or part of something? Once you understand what is triggering it, then you can be prepared for it. Then, just plan a different action or reward for those times. And then laugh at the junkie for fooling it. Unhooked, bless her heart is such an angry woman when it comes to the junkie ;p I prefer a more refined approach ;) Whatever approach you choose, you CAN be smarter than the junkie. Remember that! It's the junkie in your head realizing you aren't fooling around. She knows she could always make you give in at this point, so she's having a tantrum that it isn't working. Tell her to kiss your ash, Jacqui, you don't smoke, & the sooner the junkie gets that, the better off you'll be. You take my hand & flip her the bird with your other one & you can't light up now. Cranky? Shout, "WOOHOO!!", you can't feel bad when you're doing that. Keep hanging in, it gets better & you can do it. Get a little reward for making it this far, a nice-smelling something for yourself. Yep, you'll have em on and off for a while, just hang tough. If you want to get past it, you CAN DO IT! I was a miserable cow for a long time, but to sound like a broken record, it does get better. x T My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 308 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,084 Amount Saved: 1,694.00 Life Gained: Days: 25 Hrs: 16 Mins: 1 Seconds: 38
