bold Sounds like you are getting your head around the situation that you find yourself in...That is good because its tough losing a job, but I also see that you are being brutally honest about the fact that you had a couple of cigarettes...Honesty is probably your greatest ally, although in the cold naked light of this addiction, it dosen't feel that way. Don't stop now, you will get another job, however, you only have one set of lungs, it dosen't make a lot of sense to endanger a limited resource (your lungs) because you are in a temporary situation...Smoking won't help you get a new job, you are going to do that...And beating yourself up because you came up against a situation that is not your fault makes even less sense... No, you need to get positive now, because you need to project an image of utter confidence when you start interviewing...You need to go in "lookin good, feelin good and smellin good"...You got to be able to say (maybe not in these words) to a new employer "Look here, you don't know me, but you need me"...This is a time for an all out positive, goin forward, no lookin back assault on the old career ladder...Its time to look at your skills and desires and make a new way for yourself...And who knows, you may just find a new opportunity that out paces the old one...This could be a very good time in your life, you just don't know whats around the next bend...So stay here with us and keep on quitting...You don't need to smoke, you need to take stock of the situation, figure out a course of action and then go after it, like you where born to win... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 260 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,800 Amount Saved: $2,730.00 Life Gained: Days: 47 Hrs: 12 Mins: 50 Seconds: 17

Bold, Instead of making a negative out of this thing....make it a positive. Look what you learned. You now know FOR SURE... that is tastes yucky....solved nothing...ruined your self esteem!! THAT'S A HUGE POSITIVE. Now you can just dust yourself off and move on more convinced that quiting is the right thing to do. As they say....just do it!! Hey guys I know I made a horrible decision last night and I feel awful for doing it my new quit date is tommrow. I iced the remaining pack I had smoking just does nothing for me anymore just was so upset over what happend and let the junkie get to me last night but that will never ever happen again screw smoking it sucks and i'm done with it I will make this quit attempt last. I decided to go ahead and restart my quit meter tommrow otherwise it would feel like i'm cheating if I didnt. But I learned my lesson and it will never happen again EVER

hey bold, just becasue you had a couple of smokes does not mean that you failed. Toss out the rest of that pack, dont' buy more, and continue not smoking. Your body will not return to the way it was during hell week.... it'll be okay... just get back to quitting. You will be happy with your decision tomorrow...
