Smoking in my dreams...

17 years ago 0 7 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Day 10 - best way to describe days 9 and 10 is intense. I have been having the most intense smoking dreams. Very Vivid and actually horrifying. I have woke twice from dreams like these in the past week and immediately asked my fiance to check her cigarette pack ( yest she still smokes, but I am slowly pushing her towards the light) to see if any where missing. Of course I hadn't smoked a cigarette, heck I don't even know where my fiance keeps hers. But this experience horrified me in to being paranoid that I had woken up in the middle of the night and sleep smoke. At least I can clearly see the true nature of addiction. To be so compelled for a deadly substance such that it fills our dreams and thoughts, resisting our attempts to forget, at every chance and every breath. Moqueen, Im glad I found this post. Lately I have been dreaming a lot about smoking. Last night I dreamt I had one before I went into a mall and I actually had a buzz from it, I could feel it in my sleep!! It was SOOOO real, I woke up this morning feeling incredibly guilty because I had ended such a promising quit!! But it was just a dream. I don't know why this is continually happening to me, during the day I rarely have cravings, but they sure are plaguing me in my sleep... You still having the dreams? Iwin I think dreaming is kind of rare, it happened to me also but I'd call in a nightmare!

I have had a couple of them. I am always so mad in my dreams when I smoke, and so relieved when I wake up and discover it was only a dream. I don't like them much. Dream ?? no it's a nightmare ! Yes I have them, and it is so disturbing. But the relief when I wake up and realise that it didnt happen is immense. But it does show just how strong that nicotine addiction is. Thank god we are free of it. I had a dream last night that I was smoking. After having the first one, I just couldn't help having more and more. As I smoked more, I said to myself:"See, you just can't have just one, you are right back to before". I woke up and was SO relieved that it was only a dream! Thank God... I heard that addiction is so powerful that it tries to reach me in my sub-conscious. Anyone else have smoking dreams?
