When will the scale cough up the pounds?

Audrey, Not necessarily. It may be that you've lost body fat so you've lost inches but have built muscle which is heavier than fat. End result? The scale stays the same. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Audrey, your scales are not your friend. Use your clothes to decide how you are doing. Hint: my scales, my doctor's scales, and the grocery store scales vary by 4 to 5 pounds. If your jeans fit comfortably and you are comfortable, that's what counts! No Danielle I have stayed the same on the scale (138). But if I am feeling fitter and my clothes fit more comfortably shouldn't the scale show it? Audrey, Can you be more specific? Have you gained? Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

I've never been one to weigh myself, in fact I didn't even own a scale until a few weeks ago. I put it away during the week and only weigh myself on the weekends. In this effort to lose the added weight I have exercised regularly, running 3 times a weeks and walking or biking the other days. I have been pretty good about my diet. I am not on any strict diet meal-wise but I definitely am trying to choose healthier snacks. I have stuck my my rule that I can only have carrot sticks as a snack after dinner (except last night's treat of butter free popcorn...just a little). Here's the deal, I've always let my blue jeans tell me how I am doing, and to be honest they are fitting much more comfortably. But why won't the scale agree? I don't get it :confuse: Any help understanding would be appreciated. Thanks, Audrey My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 208 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,160 Amount Saved: $582.40 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 6 Mins: 50 Seconds: 38
