Thanks for letting me know. I have never used anything like this before and have to learn my way around. I will get the hang of it and maybe not make to many mistakes in doing so.

Well I haven't been around too much lately coz I've had a lot going on... However, since my last visit on June 20th I've hit a plateau at a loss of 17 total pounds. I'm pleased with this and if this is where it stays so be it :) I really think that with a major modification in diet, staying active whether it be walking every day for even a 1/2 hour plus drinking lots of water are all key .. including patience. I do make sure to always give myself a treat every 10-14 days as a little reward for both my quit and for my weight loss. That treat usually comes in the form of chocolate.. chocolate anything :eg: First and foremost is my new non smoking life, then came the diet, diet modification and physical activities.. stairs instead of elevators or escalators, walking (when possible) instead of taking the bus, when there's small block of 'what should I do now' time hop onto my exercise bike etc etc. I wish everyone who is trying to lose weight all the very best.. and also to plan it all out as you did when you decided to stop smoking. Have a set of tools to fall back on when you have a food craving, make sure you have substitutes, and try to be patient. This is my final post in my own weight loss thread. Be well .. :) Jean My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 89 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,225 Amount Saved: $912.25 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 1 Mins: 51 Seconds: 14

BAM, Above all remember this weight gain is temporary! Have you tried other types of low-impact, low-resistance training. Tai Chi for example? How about massage therapy for your arthritis? In addition to continuing efforts to increase your physical activity, you may benefit from seeing a nutritionist and have a diet tailored to you. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Oh sweet BAM,just bear with me,you need to get a rid of alcohol and fags first, they are the killers, extra weigth can't be bad as well but not so bad like nicodemon or drinks, take a step at the time, soon you'll be able just to work out those extra lbs ;) Sensing you love and ligth, keep strong Xxx My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 100 Amount Saved: 25.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 9 Mins: 43 Seconds: 44

Oh Wow, I sure needed to read all your posts today, thank you for being here. I am absolutely not wanting to smoke first of all....however, I have to say I feel worse since I have quit. I am sure that there are reasons for this and I am hanging in. Unfortunately one of my passions is water fitness and wouldn't you know...I have developed a very bad sensitivity to the chlorine and can no longer do it. I have very bad arthritis but meds are causing liver issues so walking, working out is very near impossible. I am a recovering alcoholic of 23 years so I understand struggle and can deal with most of these issues except for one......WEIGHT!!!!! I have gained an unbelievable amount of weight and to me this is just plain destructive. Can anyone help? God Bless You All!!!!
