Edgy...but hangin' in there

17 years ago 0 2039 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I'm hangin' in there, guys. Is it possible to feel really happy and really grumpy all at the same time? Because that's how I feel. I am really tired too. I can't seem to get enough sleep. Last night I slept for 9 hours and I woke up this morning almost needing toothpicks to keep my eyes open. And housework???? I don't even want to look at it right now. My favorite word right now is delegate. Delegate the chores around for a bit, I deserve the break. Thanks for keeping tabs on me, guys, I really appreciate it. Day two. I feel edgier today than yesterday. I just made myself a big salad for lunch later and I did my deep breathing the whole time I was chopping. I'm just about to head up to the school for lunch and yard duty. The kids really keep my mind off smoking. Its great! I'm so glad this site is here, you guys have given me so much motivation. So yeah, I'm edgy and a wee bit miserable, but I'll survive. Have a good one! That is the key Jan...give yourself a break. You are going through a rough time right now and your body is going through what feels like hell. Take care of you and accept that you will be on edge for a few days!!! Yes..you can be happy, sad, angry and still smile and feel like death when you are going through withdrawls. You can do this do not doubt yourself!!! Day two how wonderful!!!! Do not let your junkie mind fool you into doubting yourself. You CAN and WILL be a non smoker. Take deep breathes and lots of walking, water and TLC for yourself. Good for you!!! Jan, 2 days that is great! Day 2 was really hard for me. I felt jittery all day and could not concentrate on anything. Had to have a bad of sugerfree candy with me. And I had to use a lot of self talk because the demon was on me all day. But it gets easier, day 3 was much better for me. Take care of yourself and remember N.O.P.E. ~Valic My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 63 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 317 Amount Saved: $333.9 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 10 Mins: 20 Seconds: 0
