Hey guys, i felt i had to tell you that when i was in the doctors on wednesday,a woman who had been smoking outside came in and sat about 4 chairs away from me and the smell was almost overpowering! It did not tempt me in the slightest. Do you think that the cravings are diminishing? Fagashlynne, Your cravings WILL deminish little by little over time, and isn't that freedom awesome?!?! Enjoy it, but never let your guard down... there will definitely be other times where you'll have a trigger and you WILL want to smoke, so just be prepared for that. That's great that you're already seeing situations that don't bother you! :) Crave the Quit! HI Lynne! I still have cravings but mine are brought on by my triggers. It really depends upon the person as each quit is different. I know of people who went cold turkey and *never* experienced the stuff I have. Just prepared w/ all of your coping skills for each trigger / craving. Make a list of triggers and then write down how you dealt w/ the craving. I use a mini spiral notebook and I put it in my purse so if I can see a stressful event, I whip it out and then do as I did w/ that particular trigger. EX: Talking on the phone was a trigger. Instead of going to the kitchen, I now go upstairs or into the livingroom and talk. Hope this helps you out =) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 453 Amount Saved: $90 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 23 Mins: 50 Seconds: 26

Hi Lynne! Yep! The smell of smoke is definately a yuck factor for me too. The thing that has saved me is this: I have really long hair and smoke would stay trapped in my hair. After I stopped smoking, I realized my hair smelled so good. I couldnt help but wonder what others thought of my hair when I used to hug them. Now when my kids and I hug each other, they always say, "MOM! You're hair smells pretty!!" LOL!!! Keep going Friend. You are doing beautifully!! =) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 453 Amount Saved: $90 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 23 Mins: 56 Seconds: 47

Fagashlynne, It could be your cravings are slowly starting to diminish, it could also be your heightened sense of smell or it could be your just a little better equipped at controlling cravings. Either way, congrats on 12 days. Two weeks is almost here, start planning your reward. Thanks for sharing. Danielle _______________________ The SSC Support Team
