hi, I often hold myself together with... Love has its reasons that Reason cannot understand. It reminds me that there are people who love me and regardless of whatever negative torture I am putting myself through... they will love me without me understanding. It reminds me that Love and other positive things in my life ARE. They are not conditional. They are not rewards nor prizes. The positive is there and it does not need to be justified nor earned. It reminds me that not everything needs to be tought out. I can feel and enjoy something positive without searching for its rhyme and reason. The positive can be enjoyed in the present moment. L'amour a ses raisons que la raison ne peut comprendre.

What inspires me? Having small accomplishments; through out the day. Making it to work happy and feeling good. Trying a new sport and having success, going and helping out at a soup kitchen. Seeing my wife and daughter at the end of the day, their smiles are priceless. I do take some medication for my depression, my family is the main focus that some day I will be medication free.

Alternity, Great sources of inspiration! For those who think they would benefit from this type of inspiration, volunteering at your local animal shelter or an organization like Big Brothers/Sisters may be just the ticket. Who's next? Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

I feel inspired by other people who have survived hardship - I work with at-risk youth so many of them inspire me. My sister (who also struggles with depression) inspires me and we are very close. I also have my puppy who is there to comfort me all the time! Thanks for the idea of the mantras though - I think I'm going to try those!

I feel my dog inspires me.I love him and he loves me back. He doesn't judge me, yell at me or complain. On my bad days he just curls up closer to me and expects a tummy rub.He gives me great happiness.

I find that good music enspires me sometimes. Something about a melody that can soothe or energize and sometimes bring me down. Over all though I find it can carry me. It's my external motivation.
