What should I focus on

Lance you said that you feel stuck in different areas, and are not really sure what you should focus on.

If you don't mind sharing, which areas in specific do you feel stuck in? It might be helpful to identify these areas so that way, as Furgittit mentioned you can work on them one step at a time. It can be overwhelming to do too much at once, and breaking it down into smaller bits could be useful.

What should I focus on

It depends which one you feel would be more beneficial to you at this time.

Do you think dealing with your depression issues could be more helpful or dealing with the anxiety? Which one of these do you think is the most important thing you'd like to sort out first? If you can't decide, you can try thinking of pros and cons for each and posting them, maybe other members can offer their feedback and advice.

Session Two Group Walkthrough

Hi Lance, I was reading through the program myself and what really stuck with me was the part about Reachable Goals. Sometimes it's easy to set high goals for ourselves, but it can be overwhelming when there are too many goals which we can't reach.

The program mentioned three tips for which goals to focus on: keeping your goals specific, making your goals about behaviours and not feelings (what you want to do), and setting reasonable reachable goals (3 - 5 rather than many goals).

Have you taken a look at the goal planner? It explains how to then break up each goal into smaller steps.

Let us know if this is helpful, and which goals you think you'd like to choose to work on.

All about stress.

Hello everyone,

I found this article quite interesting. It talked more in depth about the importance of relaxing and reducing stress in everyday life. It gave a lot of information about what stress is exactly and how it can affect us.

Food for thought

Goofy, I liked your video and the quote you added in there.

Also I'm happy to see that you started your own happiness project. It was nice to read about what your goals, and ambitions are and also what is going on in your life right now.

Maybe some of the other members would follow suit and start their own blog, they are a lot of fun to read.

Kids for Christmas

Hi Lance,

I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to see the kids this Christmas, but as the others mentioned don't beat yourself up for it. You did try your best, and you can only control your actions, and you really have put the ball in their court and tried to show them that you want to be with them.

Things do happen for a reason. Take the time to spend the holiday with your brother, I am sure he will be so grateful for the moments and time you two can share together. Your time and attention, is probably the greatest gift you can give to him at this point in his life.

Do you have anything special planned for the two of you?

Detoxification and Fasting

Hello WhatKatyDid,

I can't say that I have ever tried any of the detoxification methods described above (although I have friends who have tried the water and lemon detoxification process and it worked for some, but not for others).

My best advice to you, especially since you mentioned that you get the shakes if you don't eat for a few hours, is to talk to your doctor about it, they might be able to recommend something that is suitable for you.

Let us know how it goes.
