What a tobacco company says

I think we also have to take into consideration...what role the government takes in the whole cigarette=legal drug situation. How much of every pack of cigarette goes to the government for taxes? I too wish they would make cigarettes illegal. I know I would never have smoked if...29 years ago...I wouldn't have been able to put my .50 in a machine and get out that first pack of cigarettes...and yes...I remember that moment like it was yesterday...and I remember the moment when I actually inhaled to the point where the smoke went into my lungs... I hate the tobacco companies...with a passion!! NOw I just have to hate them enough to continue to never buy another pack of cigarettes... Are there any steps being made toward making cigarettes illegal? Is it like alcoholism ?

Ya know...my father drank until I was about 14 years old...and...in that 14 years...my family and I experienced some really bad stuff. He stayed quit for the rest of his life...from drinking. But the smoke...that was far more sneaky...and physically...health wise..had an equal impact on my father's life...had he kept drinking who knows what would have happened...but "probably" because he kept smoking...he got to have COPD...He had a routine...for years before he died...which he hid from me. He walk from his kitchen to his living room...stop until he could breath again...then from the living room to the front door...stop....wait...then out the door to the top step...stop...wait...then down the steps to the second set of steps...stop sit..wait...then to his car door... Despite all of this...right up until a week before he died..when he stopped being able to talk...or eat..or drink or move really...he said...I'd really like a cigarette... Watching someone die of COPD is miserable... Have I mentioned I hate Philip Morris? I watch the video of my dad when I was a kid...and in almost every section..he has a smoke hanging from his mouth....I don't want that for my kids...I don't know how i'm going to die...but I really would like it not to be a slow steady suffication... Hello!

Hi everyone... I started smoking when I was about...16 I guess...I'm 44 now. I've quit smoking many times in my lifetime. So this time..I determined I was not even going to give myself the...I'm quitting pressure...which leads to total guilt when I start again...this time I simply said..I'm not buying any more cigarettes. And I haven't bought any...since the 19th of april. I guess I'll just list a few life things...so that you'll kinda get a little insight into me... 1. Drive a truck (that's bad...cuz...lots of truck drivers smoke...one good thing though is that most truck stops are becoming non smoking) 2. Father smoked...right up until NOV. 26 of 2006, when he couldn't get out of bed to have a cigarette anymore. 3. Mother didn't smoke...married to 3 smokers over 37 years...died of cancer...colon...which metastisised....lung involved... 4. Three kids...one 18 who smokes...I can't stop that now..ugh...and I hate me for it...but...i'll be darned if i'm going to have the other two smoke...and i'm not giving them the option of saying..but mom..you do it!! NO NO NO anyway...that's some..ummmm...I don't know...I hate smoking...i have for years...but...i hate being alone...and...with a smoke..you're never alone... so yesterday...i decided i need to get online to find some kind of a support group...or this thing just can't work.. so that's where i'm at... thanks for listening My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 208 Amount Saved: $36 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 20 Mins: 4 Seconds: 6

Out of No Where...Going No Where

Hey Mercy... I don't where you live...or anything...but..I live in the US in the central part...where TICKS abide...for the last three weeks...before i quit smoking my joints were hurting me terribly....last year..my daughter who is very active...started complaining that she was achy and had no energy...i had her tested for lymes..and viola...that's what it was!! My own dog, who I love, but who is a tick magnet...had lymes now...had it last year...my daughter sleeps with her..and I pulled like...20 ticks off of her in one week...now..i've gone big and gotten the frontline...expensive stuff..but hopefully that will keep the ticks off of her...and I had a lymes test yesterday. The results won't be in until next week..but the doc started me on an antibiotic just incase... Just something to think about...
