3rd Time Around!!

Hello everyone. This is my 3rd attempt and i'm 28 days along at this point. Using "the patch", and supplementing the hard cravings with gum and/or commit lozenges.(around 3-4 daily). I know its not recommended, but better than puffing away right? surfing around today at work and found this site and thought "what the heck?". Gonna browse around awhile and check it out.It looks like the place to be right now. Anyway, nice "meeting you all". Feel free to key me up. I will respond promptly. hello

Hang in there deb. I quit(again) this month, and am now 28 days in. I'm using the patch, and supplementing the hard cravings with "the gum" , and commit lozenges.I know, its not recommended, but better than smoking. Im gonna make it happen this time around, then i'll just have to quit the nicoderm. ;)38 years old on my end, and wife still smokes, but she'll come around. (her name is Deb also). Anyway, hang in there! I HATE EVERYONE TODAY! (LOL)

Clean for 30 days today.(pat on the back). Was doing this with the patch, supplemented with some gum during "bad" times. Two days ago ditched the patch and been just doing the gum , and last nite and today am literally crawling out of my skin! I can't believe what a hold nicotine has on me. It is incomprehensible. Don't really want to buy more patches, but certainly don't want to slip. Oh god, the phone is ringing at my desk AGAIN . The simple sound of a ringing telephone is almost torture. How pathetic yet comical. Looks like patches will have to be purchased. -- well i feel better at least by venting to "you guys". Thanks again for being there> Dalooosh

insomnia

Insomnia wasn't what I called it because I was sleeping and getting rest, but I did wake frequently and some days woke by 5am and was up for the day, but pretty rested. I got very very busy in the beginning(my wife loved it). lots of energy. The dreams are definitely freaky as well if you are experiencing those too. But it all starts to level off after a couple of weeks. Don't worry about it. Its a normal thing from the added oxygen in your bloodstream, or the oxygen that should have been there to begin with actually. keep up the good work> dalooosh
