today is my 14th day without cigs ya. My husband was not going to quit and I did not ask him after I got to day 5 he came home and said I am going to quit also. Yes thank gosh he did it is to hard with him smelling like smoke so I can relate. The thing is that no matter what he does you have to do this for yourself. And yes you will get mad at him it happens but just let it go he will follow sooner or latter when he sees how good you are doing. He wants to quit just as bad, but does not show it. I know it is hard when someone is smoking in the house. You can do this but you have to stay away from him for a while.
YOU CAN DO THIS CHANGE YOUR THINKING

No smoking for me in San Diego no way no how, my husband went back to smoking last night and i looked at him and thought how sad, this smells bad, and you look really stupid, but that is what he wanted to do. I laid down the rules, no smoking at home only outside, no smoking in the car. He said no problem wow I suprised myself how I didn't smoke I woke up this morning and I had to pat myself on the back, I feel stronger now.
I love this sight I have tried everything and this really seems to help
have a great weekend smoke-free

Welcome, My name is Heidi, I am 45 and have been trying to quit for 10 years. I have done 2 smoking sensation classes, wellbutin, losengens, gum, patches just about everything. This time I really think it is about what you are thinking that will change this habit. I live with a smoker but I just keep going on and everyday I become so proud of myself. Change your thinking change your life is so true. I also do exercise this time and man has that helped get rid of the stress. You just take one day at a time. The thing that has really got me threw this quit is the stop smoking center. Everytime I want one I come here and read others post and it really helps. Aug 16th is going to be a great day because you have alot of people watching your back.

good thing you posted, one thought, everytime you want a cig just say no I am not going to give up my control to my husband and that is what your doing you are stronger then that. Another thing is alot of times smokers want people who are trying to quit to smoke again so they have their playmate back.
keep strong I am rooting for you girl.

good job with the running, wow it is really funny how you do not run out of breath like you use to. I took my dog for a walk down hill was fine it is 1/2 mile going up hill straight up is another 1/2 mile and i use to stop 3 times to rest now I can go straight up with no resting. I think that in itself is a accomplishment.
keep up the good work everyone.
