Happy to be here!!!

Hello everyone!! As the post says, Happy to be here!! This has been the most successful quit I have had. I have been smoke free for 12 days and loving every minute of it!!! I will say that Chantix has been a blessing for me. I will have thoughts of cigarettes, but without the desire to have one... Mercy, A little side note,I decided to come on board based on your "closet smoker" stories. I lived with a closet smoker as a child and my brother and sister spent alot of time looking for the closet smoker's stash. Never thought to look underneath the closet carpet...hahaha!!! You are an inspiration to me and i am so happy we are quit together...God bless you, Mom...

Third quit....off to a rocky start

Welcome Esperanza!!! Glad you are here!!! I have been using Chantix and today is 2 weekks. I found that when I start to feel uptight, I close my eyes and breath real deep. I focus on my lungs filling with fresh air and that I do not need a cig hanging out of my mouth to enjoy breathing. I think of the breathe hitting deep into my lungs and clearing out the years of toxins. Please use this website,it really does help that we are all here for the common cause... God bless Cal

Happy to be here!!!

Boxerfan,Lamplighter, and NewMe, Thank you so much for your support!!! I will start posting more to discussions. I was telling my mother, Mercy(notice I am the little goat to her mama goat), that I needed time to not focus on quitting until I felt strong enough. Does that make sense?? I was trying to not have it in the forefront of my mind. I have to say again that this Chantix is a MIRACLE!!!! I think I am going to stay on the Chantix for a total of 6 months and during the end, and wean off and go free for the remainder. Everyone have a wonderful smokefree evening!!!

RE-read Cal7773!!!!!

Blue Cloud- Isn't that what family is all about??? Uplifting and inspiring each other.... How awesome, I think I saw 33 days?? Since my mother and your daughter are ahead of us, you and I will be there on this end since this is a newer road that we are traveling. We can do this!! Even at 2 weeks, I am feeling an inner strength. I have 2 daughters aged 4 1/2 and 2 years old. I want to be there for them, break the nicodemon cycle that has plagued our family for generations. God Bless Colleen

Chantix users - how did you feel?

I have been telling everyone about Chantix. I can not believe how easy this has been thus far!!! I do experience nausea if I do not eat before taking pill, I am not getting restful sleep along with the vivid, weird dreams. I will take this all over continuing to smoke. I have been taking "mini breaks",reading a health magazine, sipping on herbal teas and taking deep breaths, visualizing the breath penetrating the depths of the lungs and pushing the crud out. Once again, Chantix has been a miracle for me!!!

Could not find anything on internet

Hey everyone, I have been looking on the internet for over an hour to see if when you quit smoking, is it common to start getting sinus headaches?? Every day for the past 2 weeks, at the same time every day, my glands around my neck feel throbby,I feel sinus pressure, and I get an incredible headache that lasts a few hours. Has anyone experienced anything like this?? Thanks!!!
