Hi, today late in the day, the sirens went off for a severe thunderstorm, and I just tried not to panic and I stood and waited to see what was going to happen. I didnt run and freak out. But nothing happened, it rained and it was windy and then the warning was cancelled. Tonight its still storming, but i'm working on something at my computer then going to work on crossword puzzles, and try ignore the noise. :) try to keep focused and not panic or freak out..
Yes cornish dee, she was a real treat!..tomorrow (monday) might be severe storms again, and i'm home alone, so its going to be a real challenge, I might just close all the curtains and either watch tv, or sit and do crosswords, or if i'm really brave, work on my quilt!!!! They are just summer storms, with rain and thunder and lightning. I wasnt as scared until we got the bad storm last year, now I think they are all bad. Also I keep thinking to try and be calm that the severe storm last year, still didnt knock over our old porch/deck thing, thats hanging on by a couple of nails. Its too stressful being anxious all the time, its too tiring. I could try take that energy and put into something more productive than stress, I could turn the music really loud and dance!!!!!
This week i'm hoping to do my bus practice. I want to go out, i'm starting to get bored around here, I think its a good thing. I'll take the bus to the library, its not very far, and then i'll wait an hour and take it home, so it'll be two rides, and good practice...i'll keep you posted. i'll be thinking of you all here. I got to physcologist but I actually find you guys more helpful to me. :)
Miki you've done great being away, thats a huge boost for you, And you've had a lot of challenges and you've got through it all..welll done, big congrats.
yeah, i'd love to show you all my stuff:) Just to let you all know between the 14 and 21st of June i'll be out of town on a fishing trip. My first long trip away from home since the anxiety broke out again in Feb. We are going with the inlaws and such up to Northern Minnesota to Perham, so you can all see on your maps where I'll be, fishing. We're going to a resort, nothing fancy, some cabins, there is a store, and some game stuff, mostly I hope the weather is nice for reading and crosswords, and hopefully a sun tan. So if I dont post for a week no need to worry, i'm on vacation.
At least I dont look onto a house, but a big open space, so no one will see me dancing in circles..
Today I was a bit nervous, as they said on the weather SEVERE weather, and that word just makes me freak out. I decided to take a walk in the morning before the rain and be brave. I went past my friends house, and she said she was busy, but then she said "oh i'd love to walk". So we went to an area I dont normally walk with lovely houses, then she came to my place and we had tea, and I had forgotten about the weather. We sat and chatted for a few hours, and she left. I checked the weather again..and now they say the rain is coming later, and we might have heavy downpours, but nothing major. So I was glad I went out and didnt sit waiting for the weather again...grrr..
Later this week she suggested we go to a movie at the Mall of America, which is huge and I havent been there without my hubby before, so I"m looking forward to going there with her and seeing a movie, that will be a new thing for me.
hehe..yeah my husband asked me to try take the bus this week by myself, so I need to try.
I will try not to giggle:) I always just chat to the driver, keeps the mind off things.
There is a new store opening up the street from me, I might ride it up there and see if they are hiring yet. Might start applying, I need to get back to work, I think its good for me..even if I do 3 days a week.
