Hello

Hello to all. I am Buckman and I am quitting tomorrow. It is my 57th birthday today and I started when I was about 15. I have successfully quit in the past at least a dozen times. The longest I have remained smoke free was about two years but that was decades ago. Last year I quit for my birthday and made it three months. Every time I have used some sort of mechanism--nico gum, lozenges, patches, zyban, wellbutrin, chantix, e-cigs, and a long time ago, a computer that stepped me down over a month to none.

This time I have decided to go cold turkey.

Herbal assistance

I am quitting tomorrow cold turkey. I started a regime of herbal supplements today.

I have been taking astragalus for several years and will continue with the new herbs. I started taking Lobelia, St. John's Wort, and Asian Ginseng today. All three are thought to assist in the process of breaking addiction.

Wish me luck and I will report on my progress.
