Myth or Fact

Samantha,
As I have previously stated, I come from a family of drinkers on my father's side. and on my mother's side, she was an only child, so when us kids went over there, we had a lot of fun but my grandfather was an italian imigrant and he believed in giving us as kids cianti mixed with ginger ale with dinner. That way we were quiet and sleepy and the adults could play cards and smoke and do whatever they did. I don't remember because I was asleep LOL. On my Dad's side....flat out party ON!

Myth- There is no point postponing drinking alcohol until age 19

Fact- Research shows that the longer you postpone drinking, the less likely you are to ever experience alcohol-related problems. This can be kept in mind when it comes to your own drinking or that of friends and family.

This information comes from the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism
