Hi Me101,

I think balance is a great idea. Be sure to reward yourself with some down time. Mindfulness and meditation can also help. But remember, change is really tough and it takes time to get used to a new way of living. If you feel a bit uncomfortable explore it. If you feel tired take a break.

Just a thought. When you keep filling a cup w out emptying it it will overflow. Seems you need more balance. Work then relax whatever that is for you. I do a lot of reading writing about my drinking then a get out for a walk yoga tv nice dinner. Mostly when I start thinking about drinking I remember fighting blackouts hurting myself hangovers mornings after etc. I really like my motivated self better than my lazy self. Seems AA meetings help alot of peoole who need support i know I need it. For me One day at a time. And Breath. Good luck.

Not much to say. The only thing right now is the difference between not drinking, and drinking. Meaning when I do drink. I do nothing, and when I don't i am always doing something, mostly with my brain. I am getting tired. It is alot of work not drinking. Why all of a sudden do I have to analyse my self, and question all the thoughts that I have. Going to meetings, chatting, etc. I am exhausted mentally, and I am just starting this new journey. I guess I will get use to it eventually. Any advice?
