Spring is here!

Spring is my favorite season - I love when there's more daylight and better weather for spending time outside.

I don't know what the correlation is, or if there is one, but for the last few years I've also had a more difficult time with anxiety in the spring. My whole world collapsed during a medication withdrawal in April four years ago that lead to severe rebound anxiety and panic attacks. It's almost like my body remembers this and starts to react more sensitively this time of year each year.

It's frustrating when leaving home to spend time outside in the increasingly nice spring weather - something peaceful and therapeutic for me - becomes a challenge.

That was funny. I'm looking out the window at trees covered in snow and still a couple of feet of it on the garden. The sun is shining though.

Yesterday was the first day of spring, how do you feel?  No different, let’s change that!

What can you do to get the spring time in gear?

How about cleaning out the back yard
Get the old patio furniture cleaned up.
Gardening is therapeutic
Spring cleaning gives you more room.
Walking is great
Change the furniture around
Paint a room
Start a new routine

Be active in your progress and your life, Challenge yourself everyday and see the difference it can make.
