Sounds like we have a lot in common. I'm on another island not too far away from you! Flying is also still out of the question for me, though my boyfriend wants me to fly back east with him around the holidays this year so I'm going to try and make that happen. It will probably involve both Xanax and clutching his arm tightly, though!

Davit,
I bet you could fly anywhere you want to! You sound like you really enjoyed those flights! You could probably fly without someone to hold your hand... you could just imagine them sitting right beside you....if anyone can  do that  its you!
As for me...its still that old battle..half of me thinks I could fly..the other half thinks I'd need a bucket of gravol and ativan...then I wouldn't know if I was flying in the air or just really super stoned..or both! ha.

No we didn't see any goats but I'll admit a few times I had to close my eyes.  They gave me Gravol and Ativan before the trip and I did enjoy it and think I could have done it with just the Gravol.  It was weird because I too had not been on a plane in a long time, thirty years and no warning, the ambulance left the hospital and turned the wrong way. So I asked where we were going, What a surprise. What unwanted exposure. But as the plane rolled down the runway and lifted off it all came back to me and I thought, "hey this is fun." I also flew from Prince George to Vancouver in a turbo prop and the view was fantastic. I especially liked coming in over the ocean and the flats into the airport. Going back was by Lear jet and no where as much fun Up up up, level off above the clouds, can't see any thing and then change of sound and come down. Then a straight shot into Prince George over some fields. Hey I bet I could fly out east if I had some one hold my hand.

Hi, I was just thinking about flying. I haven't been on a plane in over 20 years. But before that I flew a few times without any fear. I even flew on  an Aurora.. (a  military plane that  was very noisy and bumpy)  those were the old days when the military gave free flights to families if there were empty seats.  My hubby is an Electronic Technician, and he  worked on planes until recently..he supervises the workers now...anyhow, he always goes on about how safe planes are. You would think since I trust him so much I would believe him! But I don't.

Davit...if you are trying to give me a visual Exposure session...it worked! ha... my stomach got queasy just  thinking about  that plane and valley.  Too exciting for me! But I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Did you actually see any mountain goats?

Cleo.

I once went by turbo prop air ambulance from Kelona to Valemount And the crew was bored so we flew about a hundred feet above the mountains looking for mountain goats. It was exciting. One side of the plane was close mountains the other side, it was thousands of feet to the valley floor.

Hi SIM,
Ya,  I live on  the largest island off the mainland of British Columbia...its very beautiful, but getting on and off  it  is very expensive and time consuming!
Davit...keep on doing just that..your advice is always welcome. That's a great way of explaining a "down" day...like a 24 hr. flu..like it!
