Welcome Calligirl,

You've found a great support site to help you in this battle..

Read as much as you can--drinks lots of water and keep the words NOPE (Not One Puff Ever) close to your lips..

The road ahead is not easy; but it is Do-Able.....just look at all the great stats that have been racked up all around the world..

It also looks like you have a quit buddy  & (Bryan) that always helps..

Welcome Dear Callie--Yes--You CAN DO this!!!!
Deb

Hello Caligirl,

Welcome to our wonderful support community and congrats on making the decision to kick the habit. Although it is your second attempt, ensuring that you are well-prepared and have planned for stresses will ensure a successful quit.

Please do review the program and all the tools available to you. Members are here to share and help each step of the way so please post often and let us know how you are doing.

Get your quitmeter going as well as this shows your stats and will help you to stay motivated!

Good luck and keep us posted!

Welcome and congratulations to you.  Download your quit meter so you can see your stats shine at you everyday.  I remember the first time I quit I used patches and the headaches were terrible.  This time I used Chantix and I didn't have the headaches.  I know it is common though.  Hang in there and post and post and read and read...we are here to help.

Just starting the process of giving up tobacco.  I'm 43 and have smoked for 24 years.  This will be my second time trying to do this.  I'm using the nicotine patch.  It's been going pretty good today, but the headache comes and goes, but overall doing pretty darn good I think.
