Hi - Today is my Quit Day

Hi Margo! Welcome to the board. Many people here who have used a variety of ways to quit. {I myself went cold-turkey.} This is a great group. Very supportive and encouraging. Also, work the program in your glove box. It does help. Drink lots of cold water. It helps flush the toxins from your system. Also, read the posts here. ALOT of experience posted in these threads. There could be just the tip you need! Just remember, that each day DOES get better! You can do this! Thanks Kelly - appreciate the support! I'm not getting much done today beyond 'NOT SMOKING'- seems a full time occupation right now. So be it. I'm taking it on faith that each day WILL get better.

Hi Margo, Congrats on your decision to quit. I have not used Chantix but you will meet many here who have. Good luck with you quit. I will look forward to reading more from you. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 27 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 810 Amount Saved: $157.95 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 11 Mins: 15 Seconds: 36

Have just signed up for this board. I smoked my last cigarette at 8:40 this morning. I've been taking Chantix for the past 18 days and finally felt like today is the day. ( the Chantix helped me cut down to about half my "normal" smoking, prior to today) So far, mostly so good. The cravings are certainly there but not as panic inducing as on previous quit attempts. I can do it. Will look forward to hearing from others and sharing experience -especially those who are also using Chantix. Thanks!
