Kayla, Your quit is marvelous getting to 50 days is phenomenal, literaly the quit is yours at this point. Just stick to it, use your coping skills, discipline, positive frame of mind, and I have no doubt that you will be joining the hundreds of people on this site that have successful quit. It is the positive attitude, hating what smoking is and has done to us and its control, that makes us stick to it. I want this for you and everyone. Feel the freedom !! Thank you, I see a winner!

Kayla Wonderful post thank you and great quit. Might I add one thing, smoking is not an option and never ever entertain the thought of a slip. Always, always, thing positive. There is no such thing as picking up a smoke and puffing, sneaking a puff does not exist, better to think that way, at least until a person gets well and gets the arms around the addiction. Thanks again Stickin My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/22/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 469 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,457 Amount Saved: $2579.5 Life Gained: Days: 87 Hrs: 6 Mins: 58 Seconds: 6

First of all I need to welcome all the new nonsmokers and soon to be non smokers. I find myself lately pressed for time and have not had much time to post but I do read alot and see many new post. So many of us were new at one time and many of us have reached milestones that we questioned if we could meet. One of the main reasons was our will and if we were strong enough to fight the cravings. We all know how difficult it is emotionally and physically and we questioned whether quitting is all worth it. IT IS WORTH EVERYTHING!!!! You are worth having a life in which you could breathe easier, smell the spring and summer flowers and sadly enough be able to smell smoke if your home should be on fire. It's a sick thought that should your home catch on fire would you smell it??? I for one am so glad to be able to smell again because I did have a small electrical fire and I can tell you, had I still been smoking I would not have smelled it. The smoke detector wouldn't have gone off either because I had taken the battery out so it wouldn't go off when I lit matches. REMINDER PUT YOUR BATTERIES BACK IN THE SMOKE DETECTORS!!! I have read where some of you are struggling and it is worth all the pain. Every second or minute you don't smoke is such a great accomplishment and you need to remind yourself that if you made it through that crave you can make it through the next and the next. Don't forget to give yourself a pat on the back when you don't have that after meal cigarette or not smoke and breathe when your angry. (Those who know me here, know it was an issue for me and I didn't give in) Instead I posted when I felt beaten down and you need to do the same. There is always someone here to help out. It really does mean alot when you do this because it is breaking the behaviors of an addiction that has controlled us for so long. I'm never one to judge when someone slips because it might be me someday but for now my quit is strong and I'm so glad to see so many new people with the courage it takes to make the effort to take your life back. So welcome and don't ever give up!!! READ, POST AND REWARD YOURSELF FOR TAKING YOUR LIFE BACK!!!!
