Hi, Fed_up. Your name says it all. Fed up is a great attitude to start (or, rather, quit) with. I became fed up with smoking after a medical scare myself. Hold that feeling and you'll do fine.
Nicotine addiction is nicotine addiction, regardless of the delivery method. Roughly 3 days to flush the nicotine out of your system, then you tackle the psychological aspects such as dealing with events when you would have previously grabbed the can.
Like CobenFan said, work through this site's Online Quit Program and feel free to move into the other forums. Just substitute tobacco for smoking and you've got it.
Also, in this forum there are posts by a gentleman called Infinite_D. Read all his writings. He kicked his addiction with strength and style in the face of some pretty strong odds. Tap into that.
Stay close, Fed_up. Read much, post often, and let us know if we can help. We're all walking this road together.
