Watery eyes

17 years ago 0 61 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi All, I made it past day 3 and am now starting day 4. I have a question. The last time I tried to quit and this time I have noticed that my eyes get watery. The same as if you are cutting into an onion. Have any of you ever experienced this before? If so, is there any way to make it go away? Last time, I quit for 2 months and this symptom lasted consistantly the whole time. It is annoying and I would appreciate any help you could offer me. -Joe My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/9/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 72 Amount Saved: $30 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 32 Seconds: 9

Hmmm...that has not really happened with me. I have a theory though. When I used to smoke, my eyes would be incredibly dry...and I have naturally dry eyes to begin with. I don't notice them as dry as they used to be. Maybe once you quit, your eyes are trying to get back to a normal, lubricated state....b/c smoking definitely dries them out. My best suggestion would be to call your eye doctor about this...they will be able to give you the best advice. Congrat on your 3 days!!!! Stay strong! jojo, This could be a symptom as your body is trying to heal. Make sure that you check in with your doctor to rule out anything medical :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
