I don´t want a single second more lost to this

So if you really don't want to do something you have Exposure therapy you can do. Doing something you don't want to till it becomes routine. I can't do that besides there is nothing that I don't actually want to do. Even if some is just wanting to do something to be done with it. It is still my choice. I don't actually have to do anything.

Thanks Davit,
I will try it and see what happens. I can understand how it works and the thought process behind it but I wonder if tricking your mind in believing something that is not true (like saying that you want to do something but in reality you don't want to do it) is good for you. I have a problem with pretending; I think the route to happiness is being yourself.

Silvana

I don't know if it is on the net. I posted how it works on here. You can probably find my post with a search.

It is explained on the net but I'm not sure under what.

It works like this. (and not just with "want to" but all positive verses negative words.) Positive thoughts bypass the centre for fear in your brain. So it is easier to do something you "want to" than "have to". If you really want to do something you can, but we add conditions such as I want to do this because I have to and make the thought negative.
It has to be strictly wanting to do it because you want to and believe you want to, not that you can because you can.  Can doesn't come into it since you can if you force your self and that isn't the object. The object is to do something because you want to with no conditions added to change the thought. When you get started in the morning look at all you do and see what causes the least stress (not counting coffee) you will notice they are things you want to do even if some appear to be routines you have to do. If you want to do something bad enough the fact you have to loses its negativity and things you can't do become possible. Not because of the difference in two words but in how your brain sees the thoughts. There are lots of words that can be changed to something more positive but "want to" is the most important. Anxiety increases the tendency towards having to which increases the anxiety. When you force yourself to do something there is so much relief after because you don't "have to" for a while. Try it on something small first so you can keep from letting in "have to" and any other negative thoughts. Just do it because you want to. Remember to reinforce it after by saying "I won". Add in another small reward to remind yourself you really "want to". Even if you don't. On another site I started a thread called words with input from other people of words and thoughts we don't use any more because of their negative influence. They found "want to" to work. Two other words they replaced were "hate" and "should". Dislike and will are more acceptable.

Welcome fading.

I stopped having panic attacks and Agoraphobia five or more years ago. I still have panic, just not attacks and I will continue to if I try to help people. Agoraphobia is totally gone. Trying to pound this disorder into submission will just increase it by making it stronger in your memory. And memory is what makes anxiety a panic attack, not the triggers. Technically it is very complex. Operationally it is very simple. A few simple relaxation and coping skills and then a slow steady changing of thought patterns. There is no five minute cure or five day or five week. There is relief after the first session and it improves with each but will fail if you skip over any. It took you a lifetime of conditioning to set you up for this disorder and it won't take another to get rid of it but it will take a while.

As for Agoraphobia, search the site for "want to". It works. It is a CBT technique and CBT works.
