Healer,
I'm taking 3 mg of Melatonin. I'm scared to take the patch off at night. I'm afraid it will mess with my nicotine level and cause me to slip. I don't want to slip this time. Not being able to sleep might be a small price to pay to quit forever.

I stopped smoking Monday and I'am using the patch.I must say it has been a little tough, but I think I can do it this time. My biggest problem is being unable to sleep. I did some reading on this board and found that some people used Melatonin. I have been taking it about a half hour before I go to bed. It seems to help a little, but still unable to get a good nights rest.

Shawn,
Great job not giving in. One of the reasons I quit smoking was for my daughter. She had been on me for quite a long time to quit smoking. So when I have a tough time I think about how not smoking is being a positive role model for her. So when you have a rough monent think about how smoking affects your kids. It works for me.

Hello
I have a couple of questions.
I have read alot of posts that make reference to the beach. Can someone tell me what the beach is? I also read something about a cruise. Can someone tell me what that means?
Thanks,
Mark

I'm also using a rubber band. I have had it on my wrist since I quit smoking. I don't snap it on my wrist. I just use it to keep my hands busy. It seems to help. I will be playing with it and not even realize it.
