jean, I'm a hockey fan.....Toronto Maple Leafs....hangs head. But I know what you mean about yelling at them to relieve stress. I hope your Jays do better today.

How come whenever I try to launch the IM, all I get is an error message? I usually use Mozilla but it also does it on Internet Explorer.

WOW :) 4 weeks & I'm still kickin' ;p
Hello April Ashkickers!!! Hope you all had a nice weekend. Mine was relaxing & stress free. I even took in a production of 'Aida' yesterday, which was a lot of fun.

I am taking myself shopping this afternoon as my reward :) For some new spring clothes.....shopping always makes a girl feel good :p
Is it still a reward if I need to replace my clothes because I'm gaining weight since I quit?

LOL I like the way you think chicknoodle. I found some good bargains & brought home 2 pair of jeans(funny, they are 2 sizes smaller than what I can't squeeze into now :)), 3 t-shirts, a work uniform(which is definitely NOT a reward) & a gift for a friends baby......ALL NECESSARY STUFF ;)

Hoppy, I'm a 30 year smoker who is has been "doing just fine without cigarettes" & I never in my life would have thought, that those words would ever come out of my mouth. It IS a mind game but you are learning how to take control & you'll beat this. It won't be easy but then nothing of this importance ever is easy. Be proud of your quit!
My condolences on the loss of your friend.

"40 days and 40 nights the rain came pouring down
40 day and 40 nights, no dry land to be found
Torrents of rushing water, birds in endless flight
Your nowhere to found, 40 days and nights"
That is one of my favourite songs. I saw the thread title & started singing.
Congratulations on your 40 days & 40 nights!!! :)

Hi everyone, add my name to the list of April Ashkickers...love that name by the way :) I had my last smoke on the evening of April 1st, put the patch on shortly after that & have NOT looked back. I'm so excited, I just can't hide it...happy dance ;p
I avoided this site at the beginning of my quit because I thought it would be a constant reminder of smoking. I must learn to try new things before judging them. Anyways, this place has been a godsend & I'm so happy that all this knowledge is under one roof.
Has anyone else noticed how bad the world smells since they quit? The smell of exhaust makes me gag lately. I had to hold my nose last night driving because the smell of car exhaust was everywhere. That has never bothered me before. It's funny but when I thought of my sense of smell coming back, it would be the nice smells that I notice, not the bad ones.
Congratulations to all April Quitters....We Rock!!!
Alanna
