Thank you all, I slept on it and managed to stay smoke free to a new dawn , new day...wet and windy here in Cornwall, England, but full of spring promise
Good morning from sunny cornwall, england. It's 06:30hrs and i needed to check the website before i went to work and i'm so glad that i did cos i've been having a bit of a tough time, negative self talk again and it's given me a real boost reading all my may quitters positive talk. 2 more days at work this shift pattern, i really need to figure out different ways to avoid the smokers.....They're everywhere!!!! But am feeling strong and don't want to let you all down.
Have absolutely nothing of use to say, just want to see my stats up in print as i am so proud of myself, after 34yrs of dedicated smoking!
Am also using Alan Carr, no nic substitute...just a wanting to quit. Let the quit be with you darlings!

Hi Bingo, thank you for that and where can i find the "junkie thread"? think I'll need it. That was very intuitive of you to recognise that actually telling work colleagues is going to present a hurdle, makes it more official, adds pressure, will they all be scrutinising to see how I'm managing? Are they going to minimise any objections i have "She's just stressing cos she needs a fag" Not sure how I am going to overcome the stressors and triggers and my shift pattern is a long day, (07:00 - 20:00hrs)Must admit am feeling a bit weak and wobbly at the thought of it, 2 days A/L left

Hi Breaking Free, you and I quit almost the same time, you seem wonderfully upbeat about it all, wish i could share your optimism as well as your quit date !!
Joining in, if that's alright, Lilly from Cornwall, England. Won't be able to be a frequent visitor but will be good to check in just to confirm that we're all still going strong.

Now feeling a little pleased with myself, got the quit date fixed so i can now see in black and white just how long etc, etc. longest time without a cigarette in 22yrs, since my first pregnancy. Need to guard against feeling smug as the big test comes next week when i go back to work, (i quit whilst on annual leave) my workplace is very stressful and smoking orientated and i've always used it as an excuse for starting smoking again in the past. I'm hoping that i won't do that this time.
