PAMALA,
BIG 20 DAYS, EXCELLENT. Hopefully you serve as a good influence to others in your life (or may already have in this case) It feels great, doesn't it? I have had two of my smoker friends just look at me and go Really? You quit?? REALLY? WOW. Then I can see them contemplating why they are still smoking. I know that because I USED to be THEM!

Sierra,
NO SMOKING !!!! SEE Shelly's post for coping and take some of her advice (there's a lot to choose from) GO TAKE A WALK, TAKE A NAP, GET ON THE PHONE WITH A PAL YA LOVE! Keep a journal and write all the confusing thoughts down today and maybe later they will make sense (or maybe not) but that does not matter. You sticking with this and believing in yourself is FIRST over anything else. Getting through the first week is hard, you just have to stay VERY busy. Go to the craft store and buy something to make, get into the library where is nice and quiet and you can't smoke. Find a support book. These are some of the things I did to get through my first weekend. I also made my kids walk with me. Walking without smoking is heaven, you'll see, get on out there! Drink water, Drink water, Drink water. NO SMOKING, IT'S SO WORTH IT!!! HUGS TO YOU!

Hi Mich,
Everyone has been right in the icky spot you are. Somedays it really is not better than a sharp stick in the eye! You have 22 days that you have worked so hard for. Time to bring out the big guns. Get out your list of reasons why you quit and look it over carefully (say it outloud too!). Carrrot sticks and WATER WATER WATER will help you stave off the hungries. Sleep is good too, you need to take care of your body while it heals. Get some rest and go easy on yourself, it's a tough process. YOU CAN DO THIS THING!!!!
Sending you some GOOD vibes and know that we're proud of you and your 22 days!
