I'm also new to this

Hello everyone, my name is Chris (but my nick name is Gizmo). I have only recently found out about the depression centre, and i am willing to give it a go. I have started the program and i am finding it helpful, understanding what has happend to me, it is truely interesting and now i know that it is really a real thing. Because alot of people told me that depression didn't exist, i didn't know what to think, but now i know. I am very new using the tools on this site, but i am learning slowly. Great to meet you guys. Chris

Hi Ainny, Sorry about my last message i put it in the wrong discussion. I know exactly how you feel when you suspect depression is back. I have had bad experiences where i let people down because of my depression, and it made me feel horrible. Always remember it is not your fault you have depression. Keep working through the program and using the site's tools, i hope they are helpful(even though i am not quite familiar with them myself). Hang in there, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Tell yourself you will get better i can do it, and it will hapen, maybe not this month, or the next, but it will. Keep those positive thoughts in your head, and then you will make it, and you will see that light at the end of the tunnel. I hope this has been helpful and suportive. Take care. Chris

Hello Melanie, thanks for your support, i am working through the program at my own pace, and i think it helping me, i now understand what has been happening to me. I have done the depression test, which i have fowarded to my psychologist. I am still very new to the site, so i am abit rusty using the program tools, but i will figure out how to use them properly as i work through the program. Thanks. Chris

Thanks gabbi, i am working through the program, but i seem to be getting alot of errors when i try to go to the next session. How are you finding the program? I have found it helpful so far in the first session, as i am learning about depression. Its good to know that depression is a real thing. I have been put down alot by people who say that "depression" is just a fansy word for being lazy. I avoid those people now, and i know that their opinion means absolutely nothing to me. Good to meet you gabbi. Chris

I can never achieve my goals

Hi there, if i set myself a goal, for example, get up at 7am on weekdays, i never end up doing it. I always wake up at about 10:30AM. If my mother wakes me up, i always fall back to sleep somehow. I have a few other goals too, like going for a walk every day around the block, but it never happens, maybe once in a while but i can't do it regulary. These are only a couple of the goals that i struggle to do. When i think about how i haven't achieved my goal for the day, i feel even more depressed with guilt. Alot of people say to me, just build it up step by step, but i can't even achieve the first step! I always just want to go to sleep all the time. I don't know what to do to pull myself out of it. Thanks for lisening. Chris

New Here

Hi Sydney, I understand how you are feeling. You have come to the right site. Use the program tools and slowly work through the program and see how you get on. I have had a similar situation myself, so if you need someone to talk to, your welcome to talk to me :) All the best. Chris.
