hi everyone

Hi all. This is my first post as I was just referred to this site today. I am a 30yo woman living in Melbourne, Australia, and have had panic disorder for the better part of 20 years. I never had this disorder treated (mostly because I was only 11 when I had my first panic attack and had no idea what was happening to me)and basically had to learn 'coping' (ie: repression) strategies on my own.. these strategies got me through the years until just recently... when panic reared its ugly head yet again. I would love to hear from other people on this forum and share our experiences. I think talking about them helps. As much support as we may get from family, friends, doctors etc.. I think the most valuable support can come from those people that know EXACTLY what having a panic disorder and related phobias really means.
