Panic attacks and long term depression

I am new to this site. I have been doing well on medication for the past two years and decided to stop taking it!~ Makes alot of sense, I know! So naturally, within two months I plumetted back into the darkest depression ever! I am 49 and also going thru menopause, but the fear and depression is worse than I could ever imagine. I finally went back to my Psychiatrist yesterday and she put me on Wellbutrin AND Lexapro. I am afraid to take both. Seems like it's too much medication. I guess she says one is for the depression and the other is for the panic attacks. Any feedback? Would love to hear comments/suggestions, I have called her office today just to make sure this is a safe combination. It is so difficult to trust. I have two children, single mom and work two jobs!!! So glad for this support site.
