Anger, Frustration, Anxiety & outbursts

Prepare myself for not getting angry or something like that in my quit times (hope full life). My quit date will be a month form now. My quitting plan is "get in to control step by step" then quit. So i preparing now onwards to not become anger on anything..and keep thinking "Ciger" ..."**** its not for me"

My Second Attempt

Original Post by: Ashley, Health Educator
Welcome!

Congrats on getting started. Going Cold Turkey is a great goal. I think letting go of the ecig was a good choice. There is currently no research indicating that the ecig helps people quit. In fact, some research suggests it can reinforce the habit - like you experienced.

It has been a few days since you posted. How are you doing today?

Not that much great! Cold turkey is a ever hardest way of quitting as i know. I tried a couple of time and went off in a couple of days itself. So now i decided to set a goal date for quitting and travel on that meanwhile reducing myself to the use of cig's...Love to get an update on your case ---OP

9 wonderful smoke free months

Original Post by: Gadget044
Friends , I am not here to brag . I am here to encourage everyone . Myself I quit cold turkey . What was my secret to quitting . I really wanted to quit . That is it .I really wanted to quit and was not going to let anything stop me . I t came down to a choice for me . Did i want to keep wasting money pumping poison into my body , or did I want to breath 100 % better and be able to walk around my yard and neighborhood without being out of breath every few feet . I smoked for 35 years and did untold damage to my lungs and every part of my body . Yet I can honestly tell anyone reading this , after the first few weeks , i will say after a month I could start to feel the improvement and each day since .  There is nothing that could ever get me to start smoking again and I feel this is one of the smartest things I have ever done . I want you all to know , You can do this , I will be honest not everyday in the beginning was a cake walk , but that went away much faster than i thought it would . now I hardly ever have a urge , and when i do it is gone within a couple minutes . I can also tell you . If you decide to quit , you will not regret it , oh in the first couple days you might think so , but get to say day 21 and you will be thankful and start to feel the improvement and You can feel proud of yourself . You took control of your life . I encourage you the reader to not give up . I did it and so can you . 9 months of freedom and never looking back .

Since i m trying cold turkey for more than once i failed. My quit period is last after a cheap 2/3 days so lets share some more things like, how did you managed to avoid cigar's. And any plans for to make the mind not to think on smoke...
