By your meter you've made it 33 days now without a smoke. AWSOME! I hope you are rewarding yourself for this great accomplishment.
As you said, the urges are still there but they do easier with time, and they will keep getting easier each day. Keep up the great start you have on your quit, and keep your guard up for that Nico-demon, the triggers are everywhere.
Once again congratulations on your quit. Nobody else can do it for you, only you can and you're doing great!
Welcome to the SSC, one of the BEST stop smoking sites on the internet in my opinion. How has day 1 of being a non-smoker worked out for you? I too quit with the help of the patch. Couldn't wear it at night though, it gave me some really weird dreams. I couldn't believe how easy it was actually. It sounds like you have the right mind set, that you CAN DO this, and after the first few days, you're going to start grinning more because you KNOW that you CAN DO this! Get ready for some changes though, like feeling light headed, being distracted easily, mild headaches. It will all go away soon as your body adjusts to living without nicotine. Don't forget to reward yourself for your great accomplishments too.
Be sure and check out the forums on here, and try to learn as much as you can. It will make it easier for you once you know what to expect. I can't wish you good luck in your quit, luck has nothing to do with it. It's all determination on your part. Hang in there buddy you CAN DO this...
Great news on your surgery. I'm glad things went well.Even greater news is that you're still on your quit. Almost half a year already, awesome! Make sure you get a nice leather coat too, you deserve it.
I left feedback also concerning the website and never heard a word. I also left a nomination in the hall of fame. Maybe that went to never never land too.
I'm sure it is challenging keeping this website up and running, and I'me sure I speak for others when I say that we really do appreciate this wonderful website.
