Starting day 3 and very proud of myself. Thank you all so much for just being there.
I have been spending a lot of my free time reading posts from these forums and it is very uplifting.
I am not finding that the cravings are that bad right now and when I do get the hurge to smoke, I come back and check the forum... I'm a bit more worried about the weekend... more free time on my hands and away from a computer... but I can do it.. Thanks again for all the kinds words of support.

Congrats on your quit.... feels great doesn't it?...
At times I would say... NO IT DOESN'T....
The "nicodemon" as I like to call it loves to get into my head and try to tell me that I don't really want to quit, that I love smoking... that it's not worth going through the withdrawls, etc..
My cravings haven't been so bad... I have been using the Thrive Lozenges to help me out.... It recommends about 10 lozenges per day, but I have been using between 5 or 6 daily... I suck on one when I feel the cravings are just a bit too much... Its mostly the habit that is harder to get past... seems like everything I did I did with a smoke in my hand... we have to learn to do things without it... changing the way we do things... sipping water, eating mints (in my case, eating everything in sight) Will need to join the weight lost forums after this .. :o) Try keeping your hands busy when you are doing something as sitting out on your patio... have you tried knitting, or cross-stitching... its actually relaxing and keeps your hands busy... :o)
Good luck in your quit Trillium... We can do it... one day at a time... just keep saying NOPE.

Treated myself to an evening at the movies last night and not once did I even think about smoking... didn't need to sneak out and sneak back in smelling of smoke...

Hi Trillium... I went to see Angels and Demons at the movies last night... it was a good movie, but definately not as good as the book... I planted flowers near my "summer home" a couple weekends ago and looking forward to seeing flowers.... I don't have a green thumb, so I am hoping I'll actually get flowers... I've been weeding, but have no idea what is a weed and what may be a flower to be, lol... but hey, it passes the time, lol... I've also added you as a buddy, but everytime I check the IM I see no one..... and don't even see your name there.. does it only come up if your buddy is online? I dunno... I'm sure we'll figure it out.

Trillium, I am having the same problem as you... needs to be highlighted to see anything and I do not see you on there as a buddy.. I do see hot102.. lol and a bunch of other people who are offline... I also tried searching for you, but no luck... we'll figure it out eventually... I hope.
