Thank you for all of the awesome advice. I have been reading through all of the forums (old and new) and you all are such inspirations. As the big day nears, I am excited but getting so nervous. I am just trying to keep imagining myself as a non-smoker. I continue to tell everyone that I know (some folks have even said that they never realized that I smoke) so that they will help keep me in line! I have bought carrots, celery sticks, pickles, and gum in preparation. I bought my last 2 packs today!!!!
Good for you and for your friend who lent her ear for support. I had sorta the same thought process going on today, I thought well if I hid one pack and just smoked one every now and then, it would be ok. I ended up just having to get in the car and leave for a while. I've chewed gum until my cheeks are starting to ache! I'm ok now, how about you??? Hope you are hanging tough!!

Ok so since late yesterday afternoon, I have been trying to think of a way to ditch the family for a quick run to the store for a pack to stash. Of course I am having thoughts like - if I just smoked 1 now and kept the pack for later . I woke up with the same thoughts, guess today is going be rough. Fortunately, I have a friend visiting from out of town so no alone time. Keep me in your prayers today!

Thanks Bob for thinking of me! Today's still a struggle, but it helps that my hubby is struggling too and keeps talking me down. We have been busy the last 2 days with a friend in the army who leaves for Iraq in the morning, this has also helped. Daughter is out of school this week so she is keeping me on the straight and narrow. Now if I were alone.......
You all keep promising it will get better!!!!!!
