Miss Molly,
Just going to check out the beagle website now.  I love your way with words.  "It's a site that is devoted to people who are owned by beagles."  You have certainly hit the nail on the head!!!!!

Keep that quit going strong,
Jan

MMG, I'm glad you're doing good today.  Isn't it nice to get to the point where the good days outweigh the bad ones?  And I hear you about smoke-filled rooms - yuck!  I can't even stand to walk past smokers anymore.  And to think we used to reek like that.

What a cutie you have, Jazz.  And it's nice to see beagle people on here, too.

I'm doing good today.  I have more good days than bad as far as cravings are concerned.  At least I don't have the really strong ones like I did at first.  Even the little ones are diminishing.  And I am finding that I don't like to be in smoke filled rooms anymore.  I suddenly feel the need to get out of there as fast as I can.  Thank goodness they outlawed smoking in restaurants where I live, otherwise, I wouldn't go anywhere anymore. Although, I should probably stay away from food for awhile.  That's one weird thing.  I'm hungry more often now.

On a side note, Jan and Kaiser, I encourage you to visit ourbeagleworlddotcom?  It's a site that is devoted to people who are owned by beagles.  It's a pretty neat site.

Just lovin' your beagle, Miss Molly!!!!!  My two beagles are Holly and Casey.  I swear there must be a club for beagles that are able to get there human family members to quit smoking!!!!!!!

Congrats to those crafty wee howling beagles, as well as to your black lab!!!!!  Dogs aren't daft...they know that they HATE cigarette smoke.

Congrats to you too Miss Molly...keep that quit going strong,

Cheers,
Jan

Welcome from an old timer.  Soon the smokers will wish they were you. I think you know it's more than just a bad habbit, or it helps to relax, etc. Thats a bunch of hooey, its an addiction. Hang in there, there's lots of folks here to help.

Hey Missmollygirl!!!

Huge congratulations on your 4 weeks as a non-smoker!!!  Like Dave(impalamaniac) said, looks like you really have a great Positive Mental Attitude about this quit and are doing what it takes!!!  I, too, quit using Chantix and experienced the same heartburn side effect!  Just keep the antacids and acid reducers like Pepcid handy, too!!!  Also, the "lots of water" therapy helps, too!!

As for the avatar question, you can add information about yourself by clicking on the "my profile" button above AND the "support group options" button above!  This really is a great site, so explore all the little areas here!  Above all, read  as much as you can in the forums if you have any questions!  There is a wealth of information in these forums...  hints, tips, and motivational posts from a bunch of great quitters!  Knowledge is power and you will need all the power you can get in doing battle with the nico-demon!!!

Anyways, welcome to the site and way to go!!!

         Jim

Nice Impala!!!  In answer to the question about what fits in the 1/2 part of the garage, that's where I will keep all my tools and yard equipment.  I don't have any toys at the moment.  I sold my 71 Camaro about three years ago and have regretted it ever since.  Maybe I'll get a new one someday.

I do have a questions about avatars.  How and where do you add them here?  I have looked everywhere and can't find anything.
