Welcome Riscas!

Stress is a huge trigger for many quitters. It will be more difficult to deal with stress but it will get easier. What are some coping strategies you plan to try out? I recommend posting here, exercise, abdominal breathing and mindfulness meditation as excellent tools to cope with stress. What do you think might be helpful for you?

Hi Riscas,
Welcome to the site. 6 Days is an awesome start to your quit journey.  Like Penitent said, just take it one day at a time and don't worry about the future. Stress is no reason to have a smoke, and stress will always be with us no matter what. We just have to re-learn how to cope with it WITHOUT a cigarette.
It does get easier with time and soon you will see. Try the deep breathing exercise when stress starts to get to you. You know, slowly inhale through your nose, hold a few seconds and slowly breath out through your mouth. 4 or 5 times and you will notice that you are starting to relax. It really works trust me. Keep us posted on your progress. It helps to reinforce your quit and gives hope to others.
 Stay strong.

Congratulations on a big 6 days riscas

It's tough quitting but so far you have done it. Keep doing it!!

No matter how hard it seems it WILL get easier but you must stick with it and look no further than today. Just quit for today and tomorrow will take care of itself.

And remember NOPE, Not One Puff Ever!! Believe me/us!!
Good Luck
Penitent

It began very well last friday. This week, I became to work, and facing the usual stressors is terrible without smoking… Champix ois helping me a lot, but I still have to have the ability to deal with the stress I usually have.
