KrissyRN, Try to keep a regular sleeping schedule, same time to rise and rest every night. Implementing an exercise regiment may also be helpful to you as it increases energy. Keep up posted, Danielle ____________________________________ The Depression Center Support Team

I have always been a tired person naturally...even as a kid. I also had mono for 11 months in High school, and since then i CAN'T miss a good night's sleep, else I'm useless. I'm in college and all, but I try to take care of myself as much as posssible to reduce my emotional vulnerability. (see....I DID learn something at therapy!) anywhoo...I'm tired. exhausted. done. pooped. wet noodle feeling. by 9am everyday. I wake up tired. This has been going on the past couple of years. it's not my thyroid, I'm not anemic, so we're going with it's my depression...but of course meds make it worse. SO, I'm on treatment, b/c that's what I need to do. what I would like to know from you is how you manage the fatigue. I have to put in long days. I'm a senior in nursing school, on youth staff at church and work casually on weekends. Everytime I stop moving, I get unbearably tired. burning eyes, head hurts to hold up tired. Anywhere that I'm not moving, ex.) sitting in four hour lectures for nursing school, driving anywhere longer than 20 minute (I actually feel asleep driving the other day...was okay, didn't hit anything...but scared the bee-jeebers out of me!...I fight not to fall alseep everyday in the car..I lost that day.), meetings, eating, etc. I need my life back and I can't have caffeine as it give me heart problems plus just makes me shake and DOES NOT reduce my tiredness. Help! How do you stay awake during the day?
