This is very familiar to me as I work in a very stressful environment and would love to change my job. Problem is it is specialized work and not too many positions within the Corporation are even similar. I am too on long term disability due to anxiety and panic disorder combined with depression. Not sure where I'm headed but I will be listening in and taking in as many tips as I can get to help me through this illness. My goal is to get back to work and feel good about it.

Hi Ccosette,

It sounds like you have got a lot you want to figure out. I really like Galianna's idea of taking it one thing at a time. How did the appointment go?

Perhaps working at one thing at a time would make the future less confusing. The doctor's report could contain some good news for treatment. Once you have a diagnosis and a treatment plan, you can put work decisions into prospective.

Hi
I am off work on disability.  I have been off work since November, I have bipolar disorder but also an ear disorder that
affects my balance, gives me tinnitus, and other issues; it is really hard to deal with

On tuesday i have an appointment with an Ear, Nose and throat specialist but what i am afraid of is what happens after
I don't know what they will diagnose me with for one.

I am afraid of having to go back to work right away; also I don't know if I want to go back to my job or if i could do the job certainly right now i have physical limitations.

I also kind of want to work at my job in a different branch but i would have to apply to work elsewhere
What do i do? any advice? I am kind of having a hard time being off work for so long but I also sort of want to change
my job.  I can try to apply for a different job with less responsibilities but that is no guarantees I will be successful in fact the odds are against me
as alot of managers know i call in sick quite a bit and am unreliable.
Thank you
